Douglas R. Ellerman, born Sept. 1, 1931, in Sayner, Wis., to Laurance and Cecelia Ellerman. He died Nov. 28, 2007, in Muskegon, Mich.
His formative years were spend in Star Lake; he graduated from Eagle River High School in 1949, and served four years in the U.S. Navy.
He was employed by a national cell phone company for many years. Fishing was his passion.
He was prededed in death by his parents and a brother, Arthur.
He is survived by his beloved companion of 18 years, Dawn Regher; a son, Paul Ellerman; a daughter, Jeanette (Tim) Jones; five grandchildren; and a sister, Gerry (Rod) Curtis.
A private burial will be at Star Lake Cemetery. [Paid Obituary].
