Notes by Currey on the lakes of Vilas County, Wisconsin, including information on Charles A. Bent and his family, owners of a resort on Lake Mamie. 11 handwritten pages. These handwritten notes were given to the Evanston, IL, Historical Society in 1906, and transferred to the Wisconsin Historical Society in the same year. Items of specific interest: "On High Lake is a resort conducted by Herman Pope and his wife.... The resort is called 'High Lake Lodge.' Mr. Pope's post office address is Boulder Junction, Star Lake, Wis." "Names of Lakes.... "Plum Lake. Named in honor of a man of that name whose initials are not known. He is a lawyer of Chicago, and was a frequent visitor to the region."
