Star Lake, the new town which has just been started at the terminus of the StPaul [sic] road in this county is having quite a boom this spring. Williams, Salvich [sic] & Co., are just completing a large saw mill and have about eight years run in sight. At present they have a force of about one hundred men at work building houses for their employees and expect to put up fifty or sixty during the summer besides a large hotel for the accomodation [sic] of tourists, the lakes and streams in the vicinity affording excellent facilaties for fishing. It is expected that before fall the village will contain a population of five hundred. The StPaul road now runs but three trains weekly to the village but it is thought that daily trains will be put on as soon as the fishing season opens.
