Text

Gustave Hanson a brakeman in the employ of Williams & Salsich at Star Lake was fatally injured last Friday evening by being crushed between two logs while trying to make a coupling. It appears that the logs had been loaded so that they projected over the ends of the car so in coming together there was not room enough left for a man to stand. This was not noticed by Hanson or the accident might have been averted. He died within twenty minutes after the accident. The remains were taken to Merrill Saturday where they were interred the next day.
