The book is completely undated. However, it shows US Route 141 extending into Michigan, and this was not established until 1928 (US route numbers were established in 1926). Nevertheless, this volume refers to the "new" route numbers. Its Gazetteer used 1920 Census population data, referring to "Last Census" without the date. That dates the volume between 1928 and 1930 or possibly 1931. Its maps show (among others) the towns of Starlake (one word), Saymer, Stateline, Rummels, Conover, Scott (or RR between Conover and Eagle River), Oxley, Donaldson, and Lakota (between Conover and Phelps). The highway map shows no paved highways in the area; the nearest paved roads being a section of Route 2 near Iron River, Michigan; a short stretch near Ironwood, Michigan; and US 51 paved as far north as Wausau.
