The map is a single folded sheet which includes multiple small maps. Star Lake is on Map 9. It is part of a cross country trail system. The route in the area of Star Lake runs Mercer, Boulder Junction, Star Lake, Conover, Phelps, Nelma. The addenda sheet, Updated Aug 4, 2017, reads, in part, "Map 9.... (Aug 2017) In Star Lake, the [sic] are 2 lodging options. (1) Hintz's North Star Lodge, 7919 CR K, 715-542-3600, cabins available; (2) Errington's Resort, 8028 CR K, 715-542-3646, motel and cabins available.
