Friends of Star Lake

Friends of the Fredricksons, Inc. a foundation commemorating the lives of Edith and Hazel Fredrickson. It is seeking to preserve the history of not only the Fredrickson family but of the town of Star Lake. They tell their own story on their website--see the Links Tab above.

The Friends own three Star Lake properties: The old Fredrickson minnow stand, the Fredrickson house, and the old schoolhouse. The schoolhouse is now open to the public, housing the Old Schoolhouse Gallery operated by Libby Scott. See Website link below. The have plans to renovate the minnow stand and Fredrickson homestead and open them to the public for historic interest.

Subsequent to their founding, they changed their name to "Friends of Star Lake" to more accurately show their function and purpose.
