The Northwoods Region
-
Article
Even defining "the Northwood" is impossible. But it is certain that Star Lake is pretty close to the middle of it. The combination of forests and lakes in Vilas County are the epitome of the Northwoods, though it certainly extends into Michigan and Minnesota, as well as Ontario.
Almost any topic cited on this webpage could fit into the category of "the Northwoods." The ones to the left seemed to fit here rather than anyplace else. Check them out.
