Bibliography of Star Lake

When you click on the "bibliography" tab at the top of this page it will take you to a master Star Lake bibliography. It contains all published mentions of Star Lake of which I am aware, except for most instances when "Star Lake" is simply a name on a list (of lakes, towns, railroad stations, telegraph offices, express stations, or post offices) or a place on a map.

The entries are divided into three sections, Comprehensive, Major, and Minor as follows:

Comprehensive: Items principally about Star Lake or the local Star Lake area.

Major: Items principally about another subject, but which provide historical or other information about Star Lake.

Minor: Items which mention Star Lake, but provide no new information that is not available in a better source.

Note that an historical bibliography for Star Lake is at the topic History of Star Lake, Wisconsin, and Environs.

Note that newspaper references are quite incomplete. Finding mentions of Star Lake in local newspapers (principally the Vilas County News-Review (and its predecessors the Vilas County News and the Vilas County Review) and the Minocqua Times (later the Lakeland Times) is quite time consuming. Those of which I am aware are included.
